An analysis of IonQ's second-quarter 2026 results (published 7 August 2026) says IonQ "continues to target 256-qubit technology with commissioning planned in FY 2027" and is "advancing work toward a 10,000-qubit system", with no year attached to the larger figure. Its first semiconductor-made processors are reported back from the foundry and under test. Nothing in what we read confirms or contradicts a single 10,000-qubit chip in 2027, so this is logged as no signal. The near-term step that can be checked is the 256-qubit system.
