The criteria used undefined terms (installed, first workloads, independent reporting). Definitions were added so two readers would score the same evidence the same way. Written after the 2 September 2026 report that the building was complete and installation was only beginning was logged, and without scoring it: under the definitions, as before, that report is not an installed machine. Adds definitions only. Every sentence of the criteria as first written is kept, and takes precedence if a definition seems to conflict with it. No outcome that the original text decided clearly is changed. The earlier text is kept on the claim page.

Claim captured, with its resolution criteria and the sources that will settle it. Resolves by 2026-12-31.

Resolves by 2026-12-31 (+30 day grace). Criteria: Resolves VERIFIED if, by 31 Dec 2026 (plus grace), Magne is installed in Copenhagen and has run its first user or research workloads, reported by QuNorth, Microsoft or Atom Computing plus independent reporting. Commissioning and acceptance testing are not first tasks. PARTIALLY_VERIFIED if the machine is installed and running acceptance tests but no workloads by the deadline. NOT_VERIFIED if it is not installed.

Definitions added 2026-10-19, before the deadline, as a clarification (the sentences above stand and take precedence if a definition seems to conflict with them; see How a Ledger claim gets resolved):
(1) “Installed” means QuNorth, Microsoft or Atom Computing reports that the machine’s hardware is physically in place at QuNorth’s facility. A completed building is not an installed machine.
(2) “First user or research workloads” means computations run on Magne for someone other than the teams building and commissioning it: a research group, a customer or a QuNorth programme user. Commissioning, calibration, acceptance tests and demonstrations run by the builders do not count, as already stated.
(3) “Independent reporting” means an article by an outlet that none of QuNorth, Microsoft, Atom Computing or the Novo Nordisk Foundation owns, and that says more than a reproduced press release.
(4) Only documents dated on or before the resolution date (31 Dec 2026 plus the 30-day grace period) count.
