Terms of use

Use the site, learn from it, share it. Don't republish it as your own, and don't rely on it for decisions that need a professional.

What SymbiQ is

SymbiQ is an educational platform about the relationship between artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Everything here is published for general information and education.

No professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, or security advice. The pages about Bitcoin and post-quantum cryptography discuss published research and public standards; they describe how attacks and migrations work in general, not what you or your organisation should do. The cryptography tools on this site run entirely in your browser and are teaching instruments, not audits. Do not treat any output from them as a compliance assessment, a penetration test, or a substitute for a qualified security professional.

Accuracy, and what we do about being wrong

We verify claims before publishing and cite primary sources, and every quantitative claim carries an evidence tier. We will still get things wrong. When we do, the correction runs on the corrections page, credited to whoever caught it. But the site is provided as is: we make no warranty that it is complete, current, or error-free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from relying on it. If a decision matters, check the primary source; we link them for exactly that reason.

Our content

The text, diagrams, games, code and design of SymbiQ are © SymbiQ and are protected by copyright. You may read, link to, quote briefly with attribution, and share the pages. You may not republish substantial portions, mirror the site, or present the material as your own work (including as training data or bulk-scraped content) without written permission. Third-party research we cite belongs to its authors and is used here under fair dealing for education and commentary.

Your contributions

If you send us a correction, a question, or a forum or Discord post, you keep ownership of it, and you give us permission to publish it on SymbiQ with credit. We edit for length and clarity. Nothing you submit is published automatically; a person reviews it first.

Acceptable use

Don't use SymbiQ to break the law, harass anyone, or attack the site or its infrastructure. Don't scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others. Don't misrepresent our content or imply we endorse you.

We link to arXiv papers, company research blogs and standards bodies. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content; a link is a citation, not an endorsement.

Availability

SymbiQ is free and offered without any guarantee of uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Governing law

SymbiQ deliberately does not name a governing law or a chosen court here. It sells nothing, charges nothing and contracts with nobody, so a clause of that kind would be doing no work — and one written badly does more harm than none at all. Where the law applies to something on this site, it applies on its own terms. If that ever changes, so will this paragraph, and the change will be noted rather than made quietly.
